Facility Condition Assessments are public-facing documents that school districts often use to garner funds from the public (think school bonds on the ballot). When I joined IBI Group, the architects were creating reports using Microsoft Word. Under my direction, the marketing department took over the report process. This report was used as the starting point for the template we would use for reports going forward. The main catalyst for this change is that the document is a representation of our work and can be used as a marketing tool. Additionally, the more clear and easy to read the documents are, the more likely it is that the public can make a confident decision on the funding.
