Draco The Ferret Character Illustration Project

In my Advanced Illustration class, we had to focus on character design, as well as creating a brandable character for our assignment. I chose a playful ferret with a snazzy red sweatshirt by the name of Draco (inspired by my friend's ferret by the same name).

Another focus was the turnaround view from all four different sides. This was how I went about designing him. I found the sides to be more difficult, since ferrets have such a unique body shape in comparison to most other animals.

To continue the project, I proceeded to create a box design to advertise the toy in, then creating a 3D model using Tinkercad for the toy itself. I then threw the design from Illustrator into Dimension over a box with an icy texture to give it the appearance of a see-through material. I then rendered and created the box below.
