Primeiramente, antes da análise do projeto, devo atenção crucial a localização do terreno, presente na esquina entre as ruas Itacolom x Piauí no bairro Higienópolis, em São Paulo. É necessário comentar-se aqui a relevância da presença de um palacete, construído por volta de 1920 (periodo que a elite cafeeira paulistana se concentrava na região); o terreno em forma de "L" acaba por abracar o edifício histórico.

First, before the project analysis, critical attention should the land location, at the corner of this Itacolom x Piauí streets in Higienópolis, São Paulo. It is necessary to review here the relevance of the presence of a mansion built around 1920 (the period São Paulo coffee elite concentrated in the region); Land-shaped "U" turns out to embrace the historic building.

A forma do museu é dada a partir da ideia de que o palacete seria a obra principal do museu, as linhas retas e diagonais presentes no projeto são pensadas para criar a dinâmica e conhexão entre o terreno e a cidade. As aberturas são como "rasgos" que se abrem para enquadramento da visão para o casarão e iluminação natural indireta, abrangem os pavimentos de exposições temporárias e exposições permanentes.

The shape of the museum is given from the idea that the palace would be the main work of the museum, straight and diagonal lines present in the project are designed to create a dynamic and conhexão between the ground and the city. The openings are as "tears" that open framework for the vision to marry and indirect natural lighting, cover the floors of temporary exhibitions and permanent displays.
