Background
In 2014, Norway celebrates the 200-year anniversary of its constitution. The stated ambition of the bicentenary is to create enthusiasm, commitment and participation across age and cultural background. Engaging the young is at the core of the ambition. Creuna was commissioned by the Norwegian parliament to develop a visual concept for the jubilee and provide strategic advice for the branding effort.

Solution
The result is a visual identity that invites everyone to join the celebration. The logo forms a distinct verbal and graphic expression with strong emotional ties to Norway’s national identity, alluding to the national anthem and the colours of the flag. Participation is encouraged through flexible solutions that allow schools and other local organizations to apply the profile in their communication material.

Creuna also developed the concept, interaction design and graphic design for the bicentenary web site. This is the key portal to information about events and activities and also offers news, historic facts and other resources. Vibrant activity and rich content at the site indicate that the solution has succeeded in its primary function – to engage and involve.
