Dog Treats Package Design

My process of creating this project from logo thumbnails to the final logo created in Illustrator, and roughs of the package before the final.
I chose to use this project in my portfolio because I thought I did well on it. I had to create a logo and a package design for a natural dog treats company. I used paw prints in a white logo because it was simple, cute, and went well with a dog company. I researched other natural dog treats packages to get an idea of how it should look. I chose a nice-looking box shape design that may be different from others, with a natural cardboard look to go with the natural dog treats. I added some red panels to contrast and add color to it. I wanted to show a photo of the treats to show what they would actually look like, and I used a photo of my own dog to show a happy dog excited for the treats. Strengths are the composition, repeating elements, and colors chosen. A creative challenge was removing the background completely throughout the dogs fur in Photoshop. Everything was put together in Illustrator.
