JetBlue Pilots Contract Campaign
As relatively new members of the Air Line Pilots Association, JetBlue Pilots were ready to negotiate their first-ever labor contract. ALPA Communications helped craft a two-pronged approach: educational rallies for the pilots to educate them on the process and build unity; and an external ad campaign to gain public support.
In additional to ads in the Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, plus billboards and digital in key markets, a major picketing event was planned outside of JetBlue's New York City headquarters. The day brought a huge number of pilots and a great amount of press.
A contract was forged shortly thereafter, earning the pilots increased pay, improvements to their retirement packages, and better working conditions.
