Patachitra or Pattachitra is a general term for traditional, cloth-based scroll painting, based in the eastern Indian states of Odisha and West Bengal.
The subject matters of Bengal Patachitra are mostly mythological but range from religious stories, folk lore to social issues.
For my illustrations, I like to use basic geometric shapes to define the elements, this is often followed by a more detailed sketch, inking and the final colour rendering process.

This collection of exclusive prints were inspired by Bengal Pattachitra forms, a play of symmetry and vibrant colours to depict beloved Indian Deities.
