Co-Housing & DEBA Renovation project includes 2 stages. The first Stage includes the Renovation of The Denizli Basma Sanayi Building bringing it into public use and making it a new centre. The Second Stage covers Co-Housing with Local people and Students.
Stage 1
DEBA Building was Build 1972 by Architect & Civil Engineer Cengiz Bektaş. It is out of use since 2010. The main idea is to provide a public common area for the people around and the Co-housing area by arranging DEBA and Ring roads through the Master Plan.
The middle axle roof of Denizli Basma Sanayi was dismantled and a semi-open square and common axis were formed, which receives light from the existing structure. The roads were reshaped according to the axis of the Ring Road and their intersection on Basma Sanayi was provided.
Stage 2
The Co-Housing Area was designed by considering the needs of the people in the surrounding area and newly settled student groups. It includes many common areas and Urban agricultural areas.
