The Nashville Soccer Club is a soccer team of the United States based in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville SC will join Major League Soccer for the 2020 season. The club plans to play its home games at the Nashville Fairgrounds, in a stadium projected for 27,500 spectators. The club is owned by three billionaire families: the Ingrams, the Turners and the Wilfs.

The city of Nashville has had several soccer teams in minor categories of American soccer. Notable teams such as the Nashville Metros (1989 - 2012) and Nashville FC, which recently played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) from 2013 to 2016. The city is also home to the college football teams of the NCAA Division !: the Belmont Bruins from Belmont University and the Lipscomb Bisons from Lipscomb University. Before these teams, the Nashville Diamonds participated in the 1982 American Soccer League, then the country's second division soccer.
