Traditionally, Orissa Pattachitra is done typically in clothes or as wall murals or sometimes in dried palm leaves stitched together to form a canvas ("patta" means the cloth, "chitra" means the painting)

The folk art form is known for its extremely intricate details and natural eco-friendly colors

The below illustrations are done in the context of Deepavali / Diwali celebration in the post-pandemic world. they are done in a contemporary version of the folk art form
