Vibration Sensor is among the most common sources of signal noise in industrial sensors. Sensor vibration can be caused by engines, pumps, fans, hydraulic cylinders, rotating shafts, and other mechanisms. It is often responsible for intermittent or false signals. For example, if a free-wheeling shaft is overexcited it will overreact to any vibration in the system. Most vibration signals are classified as low-frequency signals but this can vary from 50 to 1000 Hz depending on the application.

The Vibration Sensor is an excellent sensor for most industrial applications. The Vibration Sensor is a linear accelerometer that measures vibration and shock in linear motion most commonly experienced in industrial machines such as pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, and conveyors.
