In 2020, Adam Morfeld introduced Legislative Bill 979 (LB979) to the Nebraska Legislature. This bill would appropriate funds to the Nebraska Dept. of Transportation for another look into high-speed rail between Lincoln and Omaha, the state's two most populous cities. Unfortunately, this bill has been indefinitely postponed since August 2020.

In fall 2021, I created a promotional campaign for the bill along with potential branding materials for a Lincoln-to-Omaha high-speed commuter train as a class project. Named Nexpress (a portmanteau of "Nebraska" and "Express"), this state-funded rail corridor could run along existing BNSF Railway trackage between the two cities.

Whether used by passengers to commute to work, school,
Husker games, or anywhere else in the two cities, Nexpress signals
the next generation of passenger rail service for Nebraska.

The project culminated in a 50-piece set of vinyl stickers placed all across Lincoln, Omaha, and several small towns in between. Always stay off the tracks!
