Beijo means kiss.

Each artist has invited us into their homes, into the cities they live in, to their favorite hot spots around town, and to experience some of the gems that make their place and home special - the features that help define who we are as people.

There’s a place in my home town, Penafiel, Portugal. Everyone calls it something that would (kind of) be translated as Garden of Lovers - I actually only found out it has a different “official” name, but I prefer this one. It’s behind the public library, it overlooks a part of a valley and it’s one of my favourite places back home.

So I tried to capture the excitement and giddiness of a first love. We had to number all the 100 postcards, so I did that - and I doodled all over them too, like a stereotypical teen would doodle all over their notebooks (I was one of those, shhh). These are some of those doodles.
