Nikola Tesla Type Poster (2013):
School project: I was tasked with taking a person from history (living or dead), and use one typeface to create a typography poster (I chose Politika) that not only commemorates their life and achievements, but visually evokes that individual's persona.
When I chose Mr. Tesla for my poster, I wanted to use type in a way that represented schematic electrical diagrams and the radial, winding AC motor that Tesla was so known for. The colored circular bands spell his name (english on the top half and cryllic on the lower half).
