Launching in 2019, White Hat Research & Policy Group is a left-leaning think tank producing policy research on a variety of state issues relevant to Arizonans. The launch identity for this new organization sought to shift away from common tropes of political design, both nationally and on a state level, while remaining relevant to Arizona and using an abstract sun representing the six areas of policy research in which it is active. The Arizona copper hue is balanced by "Action Yellow", reflecting the organization's advocacy-oriented stance and the urgency of the major issues facing the state.
