Maya
Work done for John Perlmutter at Earth London
John worked on a limited edition book for a photographer Manon Ouimet. The book is about Judaism. It is part of an solo photographic Manon's exhibition in Belfast in Ireland. John wanted to include some illuminated Hebrew lettering as part of the design in the book - the name 'Maya' spelt out in Hebrew letters.
I drew the illuminated name 'Maya'. Then I sent the work to London, where Manon herself took such photographs of this work, which were needed for the book.
And then the work went to Ireland, to Belfast, where it was on display in the exhibition as part of the book launch and Manon's exhibition: My Name is Maya
The book has been published and the exhibition was very successful.
