Sparkling Wines Series

Kyiv Factory of Sparkling Wines Stolychny (Київський завод шампанських вин «Столичний») has been known for its affordable and well-liked products for over 60 years. They became an integral part of corporate and family celebrations for decades. The series Our Kyiv (Наш Київ) is the highlight of the KFSW (КЗШВ) assortment. Named after the capital of Ukraine, it aims to be one of the city’s symbols.

The series includes six sparkling wines to indulge any taste: brut to sweet, red to muscat. Despite its high popularity, the Our Kyiv brand was perceived as old-fashioned and cheap, while the competitors looked more attractive and cost less. The main challenge for the redesign was to bridge the conservative audience with a modern visual environment. As a result, the new label design is well-balanced and clean, with the distinctive name of the brand and a historical hint. The solution is to focus on brand typography, making it emotionally relevant to Kyiv and genuinely Cyrillic without Latin influence.

As a part of the rebranding, we also redesigned the factory logotype. The new abbreviation KFSW (Kyiv Factory of Sparkling Wines), КЗШВ in Ukrainian, was created in collaboration with prominent Ukrainian calligrapher Oleksiy Chekal.
