The Germantown Comedy Theater is an opportunity to bring a neighborhood together and highlight the culture of the area. The space is where a community can gather to experience intimacy with touches of spontaneity and surprise. The idea is derived from the type of comedy style called improv. This is where most or all of the performance is created in the moment. The color concept of the theater is to use bright, playful colors to keep the space feeling lively. Many of the materials are fairly simple such as concrete, wood and stones to represent the raw and exposed performances comedians would implement here.
