Technoflot has been supplying shipyards across Russia, Finland and CIS with maritime valves and fittings since 2007.
Technoflot also makes and tests its valves at its production plant in St. Petersburg.
Func.'s commission was to rebrand the company and design a new website for Technoflot.
Identity
Logo
Technoflot's prior logo had a ligature "ТФ" from the company name, Технофлот, in Russian. It reminded us of the Butterfly valve the company also produces. We preserved this idea and reworked the rest.
Colour
Maritime valves are often painted in bright colours, such as blue and red. So we picked those hues for the accents. We settled for black and white as our primary colours to build a practical yet bright colour gamut.
Typeface
Normalidad is mechanical and industrial sans serif font. It includes a wide variety of weights and widths to choose from.
3D models
Using 3D models allowed us to show the product without expensive photoshoots. And more importantly, we could set and light 3D models as we wished. We used FreeCAD to export blueprints and Blender to make final models and materials.
Website
We've created a unique website for the industry. A bright design language distinguishes Technoflot from the competition. We also created 3D models of various valves to use instead of photos.
Copywriting and Development
After a brief with the client, we collected requirements, and our copywriter found the words the company needed. We combined professional texts about valves with passionate headings about the sea. That's because company owners spent thousands of hours aboard.
No-code platforms such as Tilda we used are phenomenal tools. Tilda saved us time and money we would spend on custom development. Also, Tilda enabled us to find solutions for the client's needs.
