For my short piece, I decided to focus on Japan, as I have a significant amount of footage from there. But I wanted to narrow my focus tighter, to just Tokyo. More specifically; movement in Tokyo. The goal for this video was to experiment with an editing style and simply make something creatively visual, using resources and footage I already had to hand.

From the outset, I aimed to create something dark and moody and work with a different pace than what I'm used to. I could have searched for weeks through my archive looking through every piece of footage I have, but I knew this would only cause procrastination to actually finish something. So I set myself a 14-day deadline to hold myself accountable and actually publish it!
