BossPac proposes two algorithms that optimize the number of Sensor Placement nodes and determine their placement to support a distributed sensor network. The aim is to maximize the local accuracy of data fusion from the sensors in the network when they detect an event. A probabilistic framework is adopted because of the uncertainty in sensor detections in a distributed sensor field.
Bosspac Sensor Placement algorithm seeks to minimize the per node false alarm probability in sensor field deployment. It performs the sensor alignment process by optimizing over the placement of sensors in an outer-planar sensor layout, subject to certain constraints. The placement constraint is based on the angular coverage of sensors when the latter are deployed in a circular fashion around a target object or area. An optimal solution that minimizes the false alarm probability is then computed using a randomized incremental algorithm that iteratively computes the best feasible solutions in order to converge to near-optimality. read More About Our Services - Bosspac
