The client for this project was looking for something that would distinguish him from other professionals in his field. The images of lightening bolts and electrical plugs were overused and cliche, so by using something that was more abstract, the final product really stood out from the rest.
The swooping line is an abstract representation of a sign wave, something that is used in electrical drawings and notations. It provides wonderful flowing movement through the image, and the complementary color combination also give the identity piece a little charge.
