Created for a motion design class, I chose a literary classic to animate an opening title sequence as if the book were being made into a movie. With a focus on sound, style, and typography, I took Hemingway's story and brought it to life through his use of symbolism of characters and animals. The swirls of color that break up each scene were inspired by the thick dust Hemingway describes, both literally and figuratively, during the Spanish Civil War.
