Venator Front Bumper

Venator Front Bumper
The objective with the Venator bumper was to take advantage of the manufacturing methods behind stamped steel, while also bringing an entire new style to the Jeep Wrangler JL bumper market.

This project utilized stamping for the steel shell, sheet metal forming for the sub-structure, and injection molding for the fog light bezels.

The initial concept was built as a clay model by the industrial design team. Once the design was complete, I laser scanned the model to create a starting point for the 3D CAD to begin. I utilized Solidworks to create a surface model from the scan data and prepare it for manufacturing, along with tweaking the design as we discovered areas that may not work in reality.
