Finished designs for card game Okazaki, by Engro Games!
Since it is a game based in science, right away came to mind was those old blackboards in universities, every surface filled with with formulas and scribbles in chalk, so I decided to use that aesthetic as main visual for the game.

Okazaki is a 1-2 player card game featuring a unique combination of trick taking, hand management, and ability activation to create a tense strategic experience using only 18 identical cards.

Okazaki is inspired by the Okazaki Fragment, which plays an essential role in DNA replication. Players compete to replicate a small sequence of DNA by creating base-pairs and writing them into a new sequence . Players will use numerous mutation and DNA reparation abilities to manipulate their hand and their written sequence.

If it sparks your interest, you can purchase the game and other small nice bonus contents at the link below, helping fund more games from Engro Games in the future!
