The Ellusionist Discord Playing Cards and Enamel Mug
We were commissioned to produce artwork and layouts for a limited collection of an enamel mug and a deck os cards, to commemorate the launch of the Ellusionist Discord server, and to celebrate the online forums and communities through which magicians thrive.
We approached this design by trying to marry together the past (the ancient secrets of the magic community) and modernity (the digital world in which these secrets are now held and shared).
We attempted a balance of these two contacts in everything from the style and content to they way that the artwork was in fact produced. Each illustration in the project was meticulously hand painted before being applied to the final design, to give it just the right feel and texture.
