A Squarespace site migration from Wordpress was required for client for a variety of reasons. Wordpress as an open-source platform is not a reliable platform for clients who need security, and even with security protocols and version controls applied, a site can still be compromised.
Caroline D. Davis is a mediation law attorney who previously had a Wordpress site that offered self-booking for clients to request scheduling time and calendars through the Booked plugin used on the site. These requirements between site visitor and potential client with the site owner were easily satisfied with Squarespace Scheduling. Squarespace also offers security out-of-the-box, which makes it a valuable selling point for their service.
A custom responsive HTML and Javascript-enabled countdown page was offered to site visitors for the duration of the site content migration and Squarespace production period. The new site, featuring a similar minimalist design and a visual identity that emphasizes a calming, relaxed Pacific Northwest theme, was carried over from the previous Wordpress site for consistency. The Squarespace 7.1 site also offers site visitors information about Caroline D. Davis as well as her professional experience, services, and access to documents needed for the mediation process.
