Everything is A Copy of A Copy.

Inspire by Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club, the double spread captures the double personality and grunge themes of the movie. Entirely made up of type, different textures are made using a combination of coping and pasting paper with scissors and glue, photoshop manipulation, and repeating and photocopying the type.
The primary text was created by printing and cutting out letters of different typefaces and overlaying them by gluing them to paper. Then the text was scanned into the computer and invetered in photoshop. It was then copied and overlayed in red and blue to created a "3D" effect representing the multiple personalities of the main character of the movie.
The background texture was made by first printing out quotes from the movie then cutting them into lines and pasting them on another sheet of paper. Then the type was photocoptied and the process was repeating. This was repeated multiple times to achieve this effect. The intention was to deteriorate the quality of the image by each copy it went through. Then the final composition was inverted and repeated on photoshop creating the background for the primary type.
Digital finals.
Ultimately, the process represents the chosen quote and the theme of the movie. The intention of the piece was to illustrate that "everything is a copy of a copy" and that "nothing is real".
Thanks!
