Radio-Info.com Website Re-design
Radio-Info.com homepage design.
Design in the radio industry.
Radio-Info.com is a major publisher covering events in the radio industry. The previous site had been built a year earlier by a local firm (which I will politely refrain from mentioning by name) that took advantage of building the site and a custom CMS on a Rails 2 platform. After struggling for a year with internally debugging the site after it's launch with our developing team we sought to readdress some major user-experience issues and to re-design the website in-house.

We worked on a three-man team with a project lead who helped manage our boss' (/client) expectations. We completely tore down the front end and I set about wireframing and putting together design concepts based on the idea of having the entire site framed within an iconic radio.
Editorial section landing page.
Newsletter landing page. I was responsible for the creation of all non-article related graphics, including creation of newsletter graphics with their respective branding.
Last but not least, I also included a custom 404 and 504 page that matched the overall radio theme. On these error pages the user is moved behind the "radio" container from the homepage and can view the on/off switch and various cord plugins. I pulled the supplemental audio component pieces from various hi-res screenshots of audio equipment for added realism.
