This is my entry for Threadless' 8bit Design Challenge!
My inspiration for this one is the phrase most popular to gamers, "I don't have birthdays, I level up". So I came up with this one, the hard part is that I have to decide as what age/levels I have to place into the design, something that people are able to relate and such. e.g. I chose 40 because of the popular saying "Life starts at 40", 18 because its a general "legal" age and etc... :)
I would like to give a shout out to Sir Dan Grady, I don't know him personally but it was thru his video tutorial that I learned to how to do 8bit. Since then, I've been creating 8bit for contests at ease. HERE is the link to his video tutorial.
For this entry, I didn't do a sketch or anything of that sort, since I am very comfortable doing it without one. It's more on the planning phase where I try to decide what ages am I going to place into the design.
So, I created them individually. Have a look! ;)

After creating the pieces individually, I arranged them accordingly so as it'll not look bad on a shirt. I came up with this arrangement since it was pretty neat on a shirt. Since I don't like boxy designs, I preferred it to be roundish in its arrangement.
Here you have it! The final output! Hope ya'll like it!
You can score for it HERE. $5 if you think it passes your standards for the challenge! ;)
Thanks!
