For this project I was asked to create a fictional brand and design several branded materials, including a logo, letterhead, envelope, website, and something "extra." Because I am a native of the Nation's Capital where ice cream and frozen yogurt shops are becoming increasingly more popular, I decided to create an ice cream shop called The Capital Cone.
My goal was to create a brand that is fresh, clean, modern and friendly while also emphasizing the shop's location. Because Washington DC is directly associated with our government, I wanted to subtly incorporate red, white and blue into my logo and letterhead design in a way that wasn't overwhelmingly patriotic. I drew the logo in pen and used Photoshop and Illustrator to add color.
