Stapelia Flower and Bud
This plant (originated out of South Africa) has grown in my garden (in Florida) for the past seven years and has never flowered here before. Late last year I moved it to a new space. To me this looks like Stapelia gettliffei, I am not sure. Interesting information; apparently the Zulus in South Africa used this plant as a remedy for hysteria. In other words it should calm the recipient down, but don't try this at home, many of these plants that were effective in the past, worked on the systems of users who were not using modern day medication. This is not a good smelling bloom, more a fragrance like rotten meat.
