An Electric Future: Augmented Reality

Brief Description
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology which is quickly becoming an important tool in a designers toolkit. With marketers and advertisers looking towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly outputs, AR could be one of the best options out there.

As a start, we created AR experiences based on chosen magazines and articles. What we then did was bring our chosen article into an AR space, thus enhancing it.
Concept
To the dismay of many petrolheads worldwide, Electric Vehicles (EV) are the future. The United Kingdom have voted to ban the production and sale of NEW of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles by the year 2030. Many other European countries have followed suit. This has been done in an effort to combat the increasing threat of climate change. In fact, in recent years, the VW Group, BMW and Daimler (Mercedes-Benz/AMG) have all taken steps to make their current inventory of ICE vehicles more compliant with stringent emission standards set by the European Union. This has had a massive impact especially felt by performance vehicle manufacturers. This is the main reason why Mercedes-AMG has replaced their sensual sounding 6.2l NA engines with poultry 4l turbo charged engines or why the next C63s AMG will be a mute 4-cylinder. In fact, the maddest car manufacturer in the world, Lamborghini, will be retiring their iconic screaming NA V12 which has been a staple of the brand since 1966. 

The solution? Many car brands are moving towards producing either hybrid or
electric vehicles. Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW have all stated goals to
reach electric mobility by 2022, 2025, and 2030, respectively.
