"Nice Things" Mobile Game

Caitlin Atteberry and I teamed up to compete in the 2019 "Adobe Creative Jam 25" in downtown Raleigh, NC. The task was to create a mobile app based on a theme (in this case a phrase) in 3 hours using Adobe XD.
The Solution

Caitlin and I decided to gamify the prompt building a 3+ player mobile guessing game called "Nice Things". Each player would be one of three riles assigned by the app: truther, derailer, or guesser.

The Truther(s) and Derailer(s) are given the same object to describe the Guesser. The Guesser has a designated time period to guess the object while the Truther(s) feeds them facts about the object, and the Derailer(s) try to throw the Guesser off course. The challenge: the Truther(s) and Derailer(s) can only feed the Guesser one "fact" at a time, following each other.
The Final Result

"Nice Things" won both Peoples Choice and Overall Winner against 5 other competing teams.
Note: Pepe the Frog (the frog meme used in our app) has been abused to represent hateful messaging in recent years. At the time of this challenge, this meme was used merely for internet humor and not in any hateful context. The cartoon's creator, Matt Furie, has since reclaimed the art to prevent its misuse.
