We are not just living on the Earth. We ARE Earth. Every breath is dependent on our environment and other living beings. When blinded by the concept of “me”, we see ourselves as separate entities. We destroy living beings and nature for self-interest and short-term gains, hurting Mother Earth and ultimately ourselves. When we awaken from the fog of delusion to touch our true nature of interconnectedness, we will protect and nurture the Earth in the same way that we care for ourselves.
