Google Pay Redesign Concept

The task at hand was to reimagine and redesign the narrative surrounding money through Google Pay. Although the website contained all the necessary content, it fell short in showcasing the full spectrum of opportunities offered by Google Pay. Our goal was to weave a more human story, emphasizing how life intertwines with transactional moments.
Our approach to this design challenge revolved around seamlessly connecting visual storytelling with the tangible transactions facilitated by the app. Moments like sharing a cup of coffee or embarking on a road trip served as powerful illustrations to demonstrate the app's ease in sending and receiving money. Recognizing the app's diverse features, we structured the sections into moments of inspiration, feature showcases, and learning experiences. The aim was to inspire users, fostering an appreciation for the Google Pay philosophy and unlocking a myriad of possibilities within the app.

My Roll
In my role as a Senior Visual Designer, I took on the responsibility of conceptualizing ideas that could effectively convey the benefits of the features to users. Beyond creating visuals, defining the visual identity of the brand was among the many tasks I undertook. Collaborating with a creative team, we collectively crafted this immersive experience. This project proved to be highly challenging and a significant learning experience for me. It involved navigating through art direction, product design, motion concepts, and Figma prototypes, becoming a pivotal moment of growth in my design journey. I invested a lot into this design, and I'm thrilled to share the resulting outcome.
