Natural Selection
Natural Selection is a music event that takes place on the last Thursday of every month in Cape Town. Natural Selection is also the gradual process by which biological traits become either more or less common in a population, and is a key mechanism of evolution.
I was asked to create a series of posters for three months running. Each month I looked at the dominant genre of music being played by the DJ’s and then combined an image of an iconic musician from one of the genres with a collage of a category of species. The musicians featured in the poster designs then become ‘Natural Selection’. The posters have been featured on a UK-based blog called Design Revolution.
