IDENTITY & INFORMATION DESIGN
DESIGN RESEARCH  I  Great design ideas realize by doing in-depth design research. Therefore, it is critical first to research your topic to understand better the problem (question). Then, once you interview the persons you are designing for—in combination with other research findings—the insights will guide you to identifying a compelling solution (idea).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: A multi-week assignment reinforcing lectures in design research, design strategy, and brand identity design. Emphasis on design research phase in sourcing, developing, and citing research on the internet and academic journals, in the field, in-person interviews, and online surveys. Design research exercises are from IDEO's "Field Guide to Human-Centered Design."

The projects below were submitted and presented at Kean University Research Days. This event is sponsored annually by Kean University's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to expand the level and engagement of student-faculty research. Projects are copyright by the students at the Michael Graves College Kean University.
