"Time for Truth"

These compositions are background musical themes for the television documentary series "Tiempo de la Verdad" (Time for Truth), commissioned by the Colombian goverment institution, Procuraduría General de la Nación. The first series consists of 10 documentary programs in which victims are given the voice to reveal specific cases of attrocities committed by illegal arm groups and the consequences of the arm conflict lived by innocent civilians in rural and isolated areas of the country.
The programs emphasize the testimonies of victims of crimes against Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law and use didactic resourses to explain the rights to Truth, Justice and Reparation, to which they are entitled.
"Tiempo de la Verdad" was transmitted nationwide between november of 2007 and april of 2008.

Television commercial for the documentary of november 14th, 2007. This documentary program presents the case of the assassination of reknown sociologist and political lider Alfredo Correa de Andreis by members of the colombian central government intelligence agency, DAS. De Andreis was at the time working with communities of displaced peasants. He had published numerous articles denouncing the abandonment of these communities by the goverment, as well as the complicitiy of local political elites in massacres of leaders of peasant organizations and their families. This case remains in impunity.
