Madeval and Novopan del Ecuador (two Ecuadorian companies -Madeval specialized in kitchen furniture and Novopan in wood board production-) organized a nationwide contest aimed to architecture and interior design students.
The task was, starting with a given blueprint, to submit a proposal with a new design concept and new spatial planning.
The approach I gave, with my partner Gabriela Izurieta, was to create a new organic line for Madeval .Organic not because of shapes, but because of the intended incorporation of nature elements into the space.
In addition, using functional interior design elements we pursued to turn the kitchen into a more inclusive space for the family.
With this we won first place in the regionals and third place in the nationals.
