Phygital Experience lies in the heart of the MetaFutures World Tarot. Each of the 78 decks are visualized with a corresponding global aspect in mind- technology, society, environment, religion, innovation, wellness, and so on. Meanwhile, the back features a black background with an illuminated spark, a burst of emerging ideas, and an invitation to await on what's about to come.

The Reader as the Focus

Compared to the traditional iterations of the tarot, the cards in this deck do not have any person or animal representation in them as it invites the reader to place themselves in the position of the characters in the card. Individual cards will also be embossed with the Braille system to guide visually impaired readers.

Digital Interface

To further ones’ imagination, prompt intuitive insights, and to give structured guidance to the reader, The MetaFutures Tarot has an AR function when an individual card or a spread of cards are scanned through an app. The AR function will not only show the augmented reality version of the card but can also trigger the entry to four conceptualized immersive worlds.

Tactile Materiality

To give dimensionality and tactile weight, the cards will be made of digitally printed laminate (Lamitex), with embossed features for the Braille system. The cards have a dimension of 3.5" x 5", which we have found is the most comfortable size for handling tarot cards. The 78-deck card, along with the physical tarot guide book, will be placed in a specially designed box.
