PRAYER FLAGS - Pleats and more Pleats

Inspiration taken from Prayer Flags which is a colorful rectangular cloth, often found strung along mountain ridges and peaks high in the Himalayas.

Keeping the flags in mind, the words and images were chosen.
Replication of the prayer flags where in pleats have been formed on the top layer giving it a certain rhythmic flow.
A translucent tubular fabric with white as the background and the colored stripes in the front.
Layers have surfaced alternatively with the white popping at someplaces and the colors at some.
Pleats of individual colors which rightfully represent my inspiration “ The prayer flags”
Variation of pleats where the bottom layer becomes the top layer and form long elongated pleats.
Longer pleats with a colorful ground fabric.
To represent the lightness and flutter of the flags, colored OHB sheet strips have been used .
Final Product  - combination of Silk, Linen and Cotton warp.
