"Sea Change" Artists for Ocean artbook

The past 2 years, we've been working on a very meaningful project in collaboration with the NGO "PangeaSeed foundation" that is contributing through "ARTivism" to the oceans preservation using "Art, science & creativity".

Based on the  "Seawalls - Artists for oceans" and the "Printed Oceans" programs, we created this limited edition special fine art book (2000ex).

"SeaChange" is a 10 years visual retrospective of PangeaSeed foundation activity,
showing how "ART", "SCIENCE" and "ECOLOGY" can join efforts and educate, inform, inspire and create positive change in our societies.

2 part deluxe custom slipcase to wrap the book.

The artbook is presenting a selection of more than 45 "ocean-inspired" public murals, illustrations created by major international artists ( Shepard Fairey, Tristan Eaton, Nychos, Dulk...) as well as beautiful underwater photographies.

Sleeve concept design by Ladislas Chachignot

A special 2 box sleeves was designed for the occasion to wrap-up the book.
Special printing features like :
-
Die cut creating a "wavy" motion effect
with the cover when unwraping the book.
-
UV spot glossy layer on the front & back cover of the book
-
Silver metallic foal on the external box + spine of the book

The cover of the Artbook was created based on the concept of "duality".
The front cover is presenting a symbolization of the "healthy oceans" and the richness of it.
The back cover is showing the other side of the ocean and illustrating the issues they're facing due to human activity. (Increasing temperature of the sea, overfishing, plastic pollution...)

Certificate of authenticity.

This artbook is printed as a limited edition of 2000ex, numbered and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

The content is organized in 7 chapters that are highlighting 7 issues that our oceans are facing today.
Each artist displayed in this book worked on a main thematic linked to these issues and created a mural / illustration to represent it and communicate about the issue.

The Two illustrations are interconnected to show the 2 visions :
The richness of what can be found below the level of the sea as well as the fragility of this environment.
The covers are juxtaposed and "mirrored" to symbolize this duality.

The Artbook is now available to purchase via the link below:

The project evolved in a +2 years period of creation. It was started in 2020. The number of pages increased as well of Artists, number of murals, illustrations and underwater photographs displayed in the book. We also reworked totally the exterior aspect to give life to what we envisioned together during the creation period.
.
All the components of the book are respecting sustainable agreements including "ecofriendly inks", printing paper, 2 parts sleeves packaging and wrapping paper for shipment.
.
Special thanks to all the Artists that participated to this book by creating inspiring and amazing murals and posters as well as
Lena Oberhofer of "F-Stop Gear" for her dedication as she accompanied us in the initial phase of this creative adventure.
