I recently had the pleasure of designing the cover for PosterSpy's upcoming The Art of Movie Posters (where I'm also featured as one of the contributing artists). The brief was for a type-heavy cover, and I had to provide at least two drafts: one lettering-only and one that would have some illustrative elements. I won't show the lettering-only drafts, but here's the one that got approved (and the brainstorming behind the icons):
