Every designer in this world right now is after creating everything 'minimalistic', true story. Every webapp or mobile app is following the trend of removing stuff than adding. I was watching TV last night while working and changing the channels in between. Thank god the remote doesn't have a touch screen and I could easily perform my actions without looking at the remote. But my remote is more complicated than Windows 8 (no pun intended). I would always press some wrong button and endup being frustrated. Why is it so hard to change a channel without looking at the remote? I had to create a simpler version of it to satisfy my needs without getting into too many things. Since my primary goal of using the TV remote is to change channels or increase-decrease volume and not to change the complicated settings, I kept my focus on it. Since I prefer performing any actions on the TV without looking at the remote, I kept the buttons eleveted so that the users (like me) can feel the buttons. I have maintained the most common form of a remote so that there would be a very small learning curve to it. So will you use this remote?
Appreciate below if you want to change the channel :)
