American Tornado - Contenders 2021

'American Tornado' was an esports team competing in Overwatch Contenders. They were famous for dominating the North American scene, winning 8 of the 10 tournaments they ever competed in, 6 of which were major tournaments. I joined them in January of 2021 as they were looking to improve their social media presence and be more than just a meme team.

The overall goal for every style seen in this project is "Would this be something you could see being used for Team USA in the Overwatch World Cup?"

Before the first tournaments of the year, American Tornado would look to shift towards a blackout colour scheme. Moving away from the traditional American colours and deciding to utilise a dark theme to make their red more initimidating.

After winning their 6th Contenders tournament out of 8 competed in, American Tornado would end their dominance by disbanding as half the team moves to Collegiate Overwatch.
