Hazy Hills of Almora

True rustic art- beautiful texture of raw cut wood that will be burnt later. This is what i call natural beauty.

I tried to capture the hill view from behing the steps.. I dont know if it's a good shot..

Thats an elementary school for the children who live in this village.

TownView.. Almora is a very small hill station. This view is good but it looks absolutely amazing at night.

I ended up taking this shot while walking back to our hotel, when we couldn't find a cab.

Yes.. I'm obsessed with these hills.. they're beautiful.. untouched beauty.

This shot was taken from a cab, through my digicam.. I found this particular scene so captivating that i instantly reflexed to capture it forever :)

Crafting to perfection

Its just another one of the pics I took from the train. This was the first time we spotted the river flowing right next to our train route. We assumed then, that we had reached Uttaranchal (from Delhi).

Love the morning rays, especially when it falls on the river.. so mesmerising...

I always wanted to get a close up front shot of a train in motion.. I was sitting in the other train, i put my camera out of the window and managed to get this shot..(thank's to the three-tier compartments, they have windows that open up..)

A house at the top of a mountain.. (It was actually a toilet!!)

I was trying to capture the mountain cows, but the trees look good too. The cows ran away at the sight of the camera. Guess they were shy.

I love the sun rays.. and the steps.. so artistic..

Actually that's the access to the village.. yes, i know.. the hidden route.. We have to come down those steps to enter the village..

Kajal, at her doorstep

Kajal was so interested in what we were doing at her village, that she was constantly going in and out of her house. Thsi is her shying away from the camera.

A beautiful, lively village kid named "Kajal", Started opening up to us.

... and her naughty friends, kept hanging around..curious kids.. :)

Lush green landscape.. looks like we have arrived at the elves..Small huts and houses.. and lush green surroundings.. Just like a fairytale...

Its a lodge at sunset point, a place where people go to see the beautiful sunset.

We were all the more excited 'coz it was getting dark, and our driver told us that the lions roam around even on the roads... we thought we could get a live shot.. but no luck.. 

We named it so, simply because it looked like an alien at first glance..
