CONTACT is an interactive light installation that encourages people to communicate.
A person has a peculiar attraction to the psyche of other people. Our experience is formed through interaction with other people.
At the same time, today we see a shortage of live communication. In the age of social networks, it is much easier for people to send a message to strangers in any messenger or wink on Facebook than to make contact in person; most people are more likely to search for the right place on the map in their smartphone than ask a question to a passerby, but this is much more productive in many ways. Because it's a live conversation that allows you to establish emotional contact, to reveal and understand a person more deeply and more widely, to get as much information as possible.
Therefore, the main task of the installation is to encourage users to communicate with each other live.
By default, the installation is in default playback mode (looped animation). Using interactive control, the first user enables the ability to control the installation parameters (intensity, color palette, animation) for another user. Thus, two people can agree on the principle of the installation, easily creating their own playback program.
The installation also clearly demonstrates the power of collective interaction – only through the participation at least two people, all the specific features of the installation are fully revealed.
