Ferritins are iron-transporting proteins that can be found in many living organisms. We have shown many ferritins in earlier posts, since they are very esthetic proteins. Here you can see the CryoEM structure of human ferritin, determined very recently in its dodecamer conformation (PDB code: 7CK8)
