Amphibious wheelchair
Redesign proposals for the current amphibious chair used on the beaches of Mar del Plata. This work was carried out within the research center of the University of Mar del Plata (UNMdP-CIPADI).
At first we take the measurements of each element of the current chair
With the necessary data to start designing, we threw out the first design proposals. We started with freehand drawings and ended up making 3D modeling to have a better visualization of the proposals.
Once we contemplate all the options and choose the design, we move on to the full-scale model stage to ensure the dimensions of the human body. Once ready, we take it to the beach for the lifeguard to test the new design.
